This is a summary of the Learning Partnership “La citoyenneté active en Europe – ACE” supported by the European Commission.

The main aim of the project “Active Citizenship in Europe” (ACE) was to raise and improve the
level of awareness among adults of their rights as EU citizens and encourage them to exercise those
rights. This aim has been achieved through the intensive discussions at the four partner meetings
over the past two years and the methods developed in between the meetings and implemented at the
réunions. Developing and exchanging methods, des ateliers et des différentes façons d'aborder la question
du citoyen européen droit dans les quatre pays était un moyen très efficace d'activer différents
cibler les groupes à participer plus pour ce sujet.
Les quatre organisations partenaires du projet ont développé plusieurs méthodes pour cet objectif. L'un était
une enquête conçue par IFAID (Institut de Formation et d’Appui aux Initiatives de Development)
Aquitaine qui a été mis en œuvre par l'ensemble des partenaires pour être en mesure d'évaluer les connaissances de l'UE
«les droits des citoyens et les sensibiliser à la question. Le sondage en ligne a été achevée en trois différents
Langues (Anglais, Espagnol et français) au niveau européen, atteindre les personnels des Partenaires, leur adultes
apprenants, les expatriés et les autres personnes intéressées par le sujet. L'enquête a 200 réponses au total. Ce
n'a pas seulement évaluer le niveau de connaissances, mais il a également donné des informations sur les droits des
Les citoyens européens. Le sondage a été mis à l'essai et amélioré grâce à la rétroaction obtenue à partir de la
participants. À la fin, un document technique a été produit sur la base des résultats de l'enquête.
Les autres partenaires du projet mené diverses activités de partager des informations sur les droits de l'UE
citoyens dans le cadre des buts et objectifs de leurs organisations. Le Centro del
Professeurs Bollullos-Valverde (MOBILE), comme un centre de formation des enseignants, produit et mis en œuvre
un cours en ligne pour les enseignants qui offre de nombreuses ressources pour travailler sur les droits des citoyens de l'UE. UN
considérablement nombre élevé d'enseignants ont participé et terminé le 20 heures de cours qui était
courir pour plusieurs semaines. Beaucoup de ces apprenants ont continué à utiliser le cours de leur propre enseignement
et ont appris à intégrer la citoyenneté de l'UE dans leurs cours / formations. en outre, Dissens - Institut
de l'éducation et de la recherche re-produit deux ateliers dont le but était d'apporter la dimension de
valeurs qui travaillent derrière la discrimination et comment lutter contre ces sur le côté des lois. Excepté
réalisation de l'enquête, IFAID intégré la dimension de la citoyenneté européenne dans leur anglais
cours de langue qu'ils offrent dans leur institution. De plus Fondation pour l'éducation -, Recadrage
Migration Research - SECMO Organisé quatre ateliers dans une école professionnelle à Eindhoven.
L'école professionnelle, Summa Collège a eu une journée européenne sur le thème de «marges».
SECMO a été invité par le Collège Summa pour une session pour informer les jeunes adultes sur les citoyens de l'UE »
rights. Au cours de l'atelier, informations pratiques a été fourni par le biais d'une présentation PowerPoint
en plus d'un jeu instructif et amusant sur les droits des citoyens de l'UE. Les ateliers ont été
evaluated as very successful and beneficial by the students and teachers who took part in the
sessions.
All these outcomes have been tested during the partner meeting and the reflections of these testings
have been integrated into the final work on the products. This form of European cooperation
contributed to a nice way of making visible different perspectives on the same issue even if the final
version of the outcome was tailor made for the regional context.

The French ACE Partner IFAID Aquitaine embedded the European citizenship dimension in their English language courses they offer in their institution.

We performed the workshop As Real Life – Sexual and Gender Diversity in Europe in the group in our ACE-project meeting in Bordeaux. The aims of the workshop were firstly to introduce a dominance sensible approach in education on the issue of sexual and gender diversity, secondly to inform about the fact of sexual and gender diversity, et thirdly to develop first steps to empower groups of sexual and gender minorities. We prepared the workshop to deal with the question of European Union Rights from the perspective of values and norms, rather than actual rights. Sometimes living in a country with rights doesn’t guarantee that these rights apply to you. Some people also have some rights but not other. In our educational work Dissens – Institute for Education and Research try to look at the norms and values in our (different) societies in order to understand in what way people can be discriminated against, even if the rights are there, not only when the rights are lacking, and how to invent individual and political strategies to fight for the same rights for everyone on all levels.

We have organized four workshops at Summa College Eindhoven on their “European Day” where the theme of this year was “Borderless”. The theme of the workshop matched perfectly with ACE project. Therefore we liked it to be there and to be part of it.

The project team has visited the municipality Waalre. We had meeting with Mrs. Hanneke Balk, Alderman of the city of Waalre and first vice Mayor, and Mr Kees de Zeeuw, member and vice chair of the city council of Waalre. We have shared our experiences about the European citizenship rights and we have learned the vision and the activities of the city of Waalre related to EU and EU citizenship rights…
